2011/2012

CALL FOR RESEARCH CONCEPT PAPERS
NDU has provided up to 50,000,000 (fifty million Uganda shillings) for small grant research capacity development. Ten (10) awards worth 5,000,000/= million shillings will be funded for research to be completed within one year. The SPGS therefore calls for concept papers on proposed research projects that staff and faculty would like to submit for the 2011/2012 NDU research competition. The following must be observed and followed:

Eligibility:

• Full time members of staff or faculty or any department of Ndejje University
• Must hold at least a University Degree or its equivalent
• Must select a research area that directly enriches your work at NDU

The Concept Paper:
A one page (1 page) research concept paper must be delivered to the Secretary SPGS, (Block G, Balintuma Road; Former Medical Bureau Complex) on or before 5:00pm, 28th February, 2011. Successful concept papers will be required to prepare a full-time research proposal to be funded by NDU.
Concept paper cover page:
The concept paper cover page must have the following:

1. Title of Research
2. Name of Principal Researcher
3. Department, Faculty of Researcher
4. Signature of Head of Department/Dean of Faculty with date and stamp

Concept Paper Content Page
The one - page concept paper must have:

1. Brief introduction of research problem (1 paragraph)
2. Description of Methodology including research site(s). (How the problem will be studied - 2 paragraphs)
3. Indication of how the research will enhance your work/role at NDU and your academic/career discipline. (1 paragraph)
