Information Communication Technology Service Department (ICT) coordinates the delivery of ICT services to the University’s various functional units according to their needs. Ndejje recognises the role of ICT as an enabler for the attainment of its goals and strategic objectives. The department is responsible for ICT policy and strategy design in addition to other services such as helping students and staff to use and understand ICT. Information Systems The University has Information Management Systems, and the ICT department is responsible for the deployment, configuration, user support and maintenance of all such systems that support the University’s business processes. Information Systems include:
- Academic Records Management System (ARMS)
- Sun Accounting Software
- Human Resource and Payrol Manager
- Library Information Management System
The Department is also responsible for the deployment and maintenance of all aspects of ICT infrastructure and office equipment. These include the Network Operating Centre, network backbone, Local Area Networks, voice communication equipment, ICT learning Centers, all office & lecture room IT equipment (including projectors, sound equipment and video cameras), the Internet gateway, the Wide Area Network and Network Security.
