Ndejje Votes Second Female Guild President
Ndejje University has elected its second ever female Guild President in the polls that concluded over the
weekend at both Kampala and Main Campuses.
Nabachwa Milca Alitubera won the presidential seat after trouncing opponent Kahinda Adon in a two-
horse race with 1459 votes representing 53.26%. Her rival polled 1261 votes standing at 46.04% in a
hotly contested election. The elections registered 2739 voters for the Guild Presidency exercise.
Nabachwa became the second ever female Guild President to assume the student’s high seat after Ann
Mbabazi who served her term in 2006-2007. Ndejje University was established in 1992.
The new Guild President garnered 957 votes from Main Campus as opposed to Kahinda’s 926 votes. A
total of 1898 votes were cast with !5 invalid votes.
Nabachwa also led at Kampala Campus polling 502 votes while her opponent got 335. Four invalid
votes were however registered from the polling station. The 19 total invalid votes accounted for 0.7% .
Gamukama Raymond was however elected Guild Vice President with 1429 votes (52.15%) to beat
opponent Kukunda Ark Solomon who collected 1276 votes (46.58%).
Meanwhile, Atukunda Stadea ran unopposed for the Chairlady seat while Lumunde Godfrey grabbed
the office of the Chairperson Men’s Wing after beating Kwizera Aaron 284 – 208 votes respectively.
