Student now eyes Miss Uganda crown
Newly crowned Miss Creativity at the Busoga Tourism Beauty contest has declared her intention of competing for the Uganda Tourism crown come October 4, 2019. Rose Sandra Nabaggala, a student of Mass Communication and Journalism at Ndejje University has resolved to go for the national title after winning third place at the weekend Miss Busoga
Tourism Beauty Contest held at Kagulu Rock, Buyende District. The contest was part of the annual Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge, graced by Kyabazinga of Busoga His Highness Gabula Nadiope IV and Uganda Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga. The student representing Butembe Chiefdom 2019/20 at the pageant organized under the auspices of Obwa Kyabazinga Bwa Busoga (Busoga Kingdom), saw the 11 chiefdoms which include Bugabula, Bugweri, Bukono, Buhnole, Luuka, Kigulu, Bunya, Bukooli, Bulamogi and Budiope participate.
“I am not a stranger to beauty contests. I have gained enough experience and now ready to go for Miss Uganda Tourism crown,” Nabagala said after judges declared her Miss Creativity. The judges voted her Miss Creativity 2019/20 for her uniqueness and creativity display on stage in line with the event’s theme – “Beauty with Cultural Values.”
“I want to be Uganda’s ambassador in promotion of the country’s and Busoga tourism locally and globally,” she said Nabaggala in 2017 won three beauty pageant accolades, Miss Eastern, Miss Talent and Miss Photogenic crowns during the Miss Pearl Eastern Region contest in Jinja. On top of the three crowns, she was also named Victoria FM Radio Ambassador at the climax of the contest organized under the 2017 theme: “Beauty With A Purpose.” The university student is a multi talented sports and music artist having been active in the area of performing arts and modeling since 2009 while at St. Michael Girls’ Primary School in Namutumba District.
