908 Set To Graduate Next Month
The National Water and Sewerage Managing Director, Dr. Engineer Silver Mugisha will preside over the Ndejje University 20 th B Graduation that gets underway at Luwero Main Campus on March 1, 2019.
A total of 908 students will be presented for conferment of certificates, diplomas and degrees attained in various courses for the Academic Year 2016/17.. Ndejje University now runs a two-intake system.
In line with best practices, all graduands will walk away with their transcripts on graduation day to expedite engagement in the job market. The graduands include 414 females who represent 70% and 148 males 30% of students set for conferment. Certificate in Early Childhood Education (CECE) has the bulk of 169 graduands followed by Certificate in Child Care (CCC).
A total of 2144 graduands received diplomas, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the Ndejje University’s 20 th ‘A’ Graduation ceremony held last October 12, 2018.
The Executive Director Private Sector Foundation Uganda Mr. Gideon Badagawa was the then chief guest while Ndejje University Chancellor, Prof. Wilberforce Kisamba Mugerwa conferred the degrees and diplomas on the graduands. The theme of the graduation was “Consolidating, Collaboration, Innovation and Internationalisation of higher Education.”
Overall during the ‘A’ graduation, 1024 female graduates represented 47.8 per cent and 1120 males, 52.2 per cent of graduands which clearly showed positive results in the university’s gender mainstreaming efforts.
